“Very Very INTERESTING to watch is the video that actually did upload before the virus or whatever got to it. The effect of decaying and melting away at the end was not a choice me or Evan made... interesting addition to the work! LOL, looks like we had an additional A.I.collaborator. It’s funny, this year has taught me so many lessons. I have been struggling knowing when to stop, in my art and in my life, they are intertwined. The seeping reality that I will not be-able to send the final product as I saw fit and must let go of part of it. I have no choice. Unless I can recover it. But there is no time. How ironic. I must accept, if not celebrate that I, for once, did not make the decision to end it that way. Some-thing entered my computer and made the decision for me. And yet, I still seek and find different routes....” -Bridget Close 11.24.2020.

Past works were driven by the desire to understand the performative nature of human emotion and its sedimentation into Identity. I created character memes and motifs where the self was an active agent. She creates new realms of reality where difficult questions and situations that are of this world can be explored by being transported into alternative worlds. |
